Ten Pin Bowling
Ten Pin Bowling at the Games was introduced as a sport in 1999. The Competition for the Gibraltar 2019 NatWest International Island Games will take place at the Kings Bowl Bowling Alley situated within the Kings Bastion Leisure Centre within the old city wall. Teams will consist of 4 Male and 4 female bowlers from each Island. Each player will compete in 4 events Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Team, once these events are completed the top 12 male and top 12 female bowlers will compete in order to be crowned the Male and Female Masters Champion.
There will be changing facilities and a secure Bowling ball store room for the athletes and coaches to use. Multiple water dispensers will be setup in order to keep the athletes hydrated. The venue has been newly refurbished for the Gibraltar 2019 Games with 14 lane full automated bowling alley which has hosted tournaments on the European Ten Pin Bowling Calendar. The centre also includes a restaurant, cinema, ice rink and fitness gymnasium.
