Badminton Icon


The Badminton Association is a member of the Badminton World Federation and Badminton Europe. It has participated in all the games since 1987.

The Badminton event at the Gibraltar 2019 NatWest International Island Games will take place in a newly built Sports Hall at the Europa Point Sports Complex which will cater for 5 playing courts and 2 practice courts. The 5 playing courts will be on Victor cushioned mobile courts and Victor Champion gold feather shuttles will be used.

The competition will hope to attract all badminton playing Island which should include 13 to 14 teams. The competition will run from Sunday to Friday and consist of the Team Event followed by the Individual Event. There might also be a plate competition as discussed in the previous Technical Committee meeting in Gotland 2017.

The Gibraltar Badminton Association looks forward to welcoming the Badminton Fraternity.
