The Countdown to the Gibraltar 2019 NatWest International Island Games XVIII
Today marks the ‘1 Year to Go’ mark until the Opening Ceremony of the Gibraltar 2019 Games. Over the past few days Gibraltar has hosted the 23 Member Islands during their Pre-Visit tour of the competition venues for the 14 x sports and the accommodation that will house the 2500 athletes & officials. The Member Islands have also attended briefings given by each of the Gibraltar 2019 Sports Coordinators on planned competition formats and facilities to date.
Last night (5th June 2018) the Member Islands, Gibraltar 2019 Organising Committee, Gibraltar 2019 Sports Coordinators, title sponsors NatWest International and the IIGA Executive Committee last night attended a reception hosted by His Excellency Lieutenant General Edward Davis and Mrs Davis at ‘the Convent’. The Minister for Sport, Culture, Heritage & Youth, the Hon. Steven Linares will tonight host a reception to mark the ‘100 Days to Go’ milestone at Europa Point.
