UCLan Sign Memorandum of Understanding The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and the Gibraltar 2019 NatWest International Island Games Organising Committee today signed a memorandum of understanding whereby UCLan Sports Therapy and MSc Sports Medicine staff and students from the School of Health Sciences and the School of Medicine will offer a range of medical services to support the Island Games to be held in Gibraltar between July 6th and 12th 2019. The Countdown to the Gibraltar 2019 NatWest International Island Games XVIII Today marks the ‘1 Year to Go’ mark until the Opening Ceremony of the Gibraltar 2019 Games. Over the past few days Gibraltar has hosted the 23 Member Islands during their Pre-Visit tour of the competition venues for the 14 x sports and the accommodation that will house the 2500 athletes & officials. Volunteers Needed for Triathlon Test Event on 1st July On the morning of Sun 1st July 2018 the Gibraltar Triathlon Association will be holding a Triathlon event and require volunteer Race Marshals. This race will be used as a Test Event for the Gibraltar 2019 NatWest International Island Games. The Race Marshals will be positioned at specific key locations and would be given instructions in respect of their duties and responsibilities.
